Whilst email is hardly new or sexy in 2024 2023, it’s (probably) still the most used communication method for organisations (both inter- and intra-organisation).
Email is seen as both a boon and a bane – it takes only a few seconds to generate and send, and simultaneously for the recipient it takes from several minutes to multiple days to read, process, act and complete even a single email.
Add to this, the volume of emails being received per user every day and it’s no wonder inboxes are out of control, inducing a fight/flight/freeze response when the owner hazards a look.
My own approach to email management is based on the premise that
